Congrats on your new tattoo! Bet its looking great, now I did my part its time for you to do yours! Baby your tattoo for the next few weeks and it will look great for years to come. Follow these easy instructions and email me, call or stop by the shop anytime with questions or concerns.

~Aftercare~

- Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo.

- Remove the bandage after 3 hours. Only when in a clean area.

Never re-bandage.

- Your tattoo will have some plasma, dry blood and excess ink, this is normal and happens the first 2-3 days.

-Using just your hands carefully, clean the tattoo gently with a mild unscented liquid soap and warm water. Clean and rinse until it is clean and free of all that slimy stuff.  No washcloth or loofah.

(I suggest Dial Antibacterial Gold.)

-Rinse well with warm water and pat dry with a clean paper towel.

Not a towel everyone uses, a clean paper towel.

Do not rub it will irritate your tattoo.

-Once the tattoo is dry apply a very thin layer of Aquaphor, A&D Ointment, or Armor Gel on your tattoo.

A VERY VERY VERY THIN LAYER.

If you use to much it will break out in pimples. Yuck!

-Clean thoroughly and thinly apply the Aquaphor 2-3 times a day for 2-3 days.

-On the 3rd-4th day continue to clean gently with liquid soap and switch to

a fragrance free lotion.

Apply a light layer of lotion when the tattoo feels dry.

I suggest lubriderm.

-On the 3rd- 4th day your tattoo will begin to itch, scab, peel and flake.

The lines may look weird and colors will look off.

This is totally normal, you are looking at a scab. Let this fall off naturally.

-Continue keeping it clean and continue to use the lotion for 2-3 weeks.

-No Pool, Beach, Sauna, Sun or Soaking for 2 weeks.

-Do Not pick, scratch or peel your tattoo, if scabs are removed prematurely the ink will fall out.

- Wear clean clothes that are loose and do not rub/chafe the area.

-For any questions just email me with the subject line: "healing" include photos, or call the shop.

 Don't overthink it.
